  A couple of manga reccomendation threads
manga for the non-otaku - The Comics Journal Message Board
B r o k e n F r o n t i e r :: View topic - Who can help me with Manga recs?
If you think you'd like Manga but don't know where to start, these two threads are full of good reccomendations. Especially the ones by me! Go and leave your own there, or here. Manga party!
  Epileptic 2 cancelled, both volumes to be published together.
From EgonI came across the unfortunate bit of news that Epileptic Vol. 2 will be cancelled and the whole thing'll instead be printed in one new volume with a smaller page size. I loved Epileptic vol. 1, but this makes me feel like forgetting about the whole thing. It's like buying a DVD and then they re-release it as a special edition with the sequel packed in for the same price. Oh well, such is life.
  James Kochalka interview
ADD's on his second '5 questions for...' interview, and it's James Kochalka. It covers American Elf and a possible big-time record deal.

  Samurai Executioner coming soon
From the press release:
"Before Koike and Kojima created the unforgettable Lone Wolf and Cub character Itto Ogami, they brought to life Kubikiri Asa, better known to Lone Wolf and Cub readers as Decapitator Asaemon. In the Lone Wolf and Cub series, Decapitator Asaemon, equal in ability to Itto, was known as the bearer of the sword Onibocho and was the man in charge of testing weapons for the shogun. The Samurai Executioner series is based on the Decapitator, chronicling his life before his fateful duel with Lone Wolf."
This is so awesome!!
Ten volumes, same size as LW&C, starting June 2004.

  Army of Doraemon set to take over world
"The robot, made of plastic and equipped with more than 10 sensors, has a vocabulary of 750 phrases to respond to questions or being touched.

The 26.5-cm tall robot says "it hurts" when hit on the head, or "help me" when it topples over.

It can also express its "emotions" such as "I feel great today" or "I'm irritable" and be programmed to voice birthday greetings."

Eek! I need to find some pictures of this!
